A Walk to the Lake...

Leyla's school closed an hour early yesterday so we took advantage of the extra time and headed down to the lake. It's definitely Fall... there was an ever so slight chill in the air....

Leyla ran back and forth from these bushes... on them were ripe berries in beautiful shades of red and orange. She called them strawberries and asked if she could eat them.

They were only a few extra minutes that I got to spend with my little one... but when we got home it felt like we had gone on a mini-adventure... saying hi to doggies, birdies, and duckies along the way.
