Our Wednesday Morning...

Some mornings Leyla will tell me, "I don't want to go to schooool!" {starts young, doesn't it???}. Some mornings, home is the most boring place on earth and she's rearing to go. Though I'm still trying to figure out Leyla and all of her idiosyncrasies, I can pretty much tell from the moment that she wakes up what kind of "getting ready" experience we will have. Lucky me... Leyla woke up on the right side of bed this morning. As I put her hair up in a perky ponytail, Leyla seemed excited for a change from her usual double pigtails. When I was done with her hair, she made a beeline towards her mirror to check out her reflection. She grinned with satisfaction and actually said, "Oh, thanks Mama!" {HA!} 

Lately, Leyla has had no patience for my "pesky" camera... but this morning she actually stood still and I got some iPhone photos. So, I thought that I'd share them since I've been a little light with my blogging lately {shame, shame}. Well, enough intro... enjoy a glimpse into our morning!

About to board the car... She had just informed me that school was far away so we'd better drive there. Thanks for the heads up, Leyla! ;)
 

Here we are walking in the front of Leyla's school. She spotted some of her friends through one of the classroom windows. She then said, "We'd better hurry!" =)

Making our walk through the long hallway. Leyla likes to point out this particular apple every day as we walk to and from the classroom.
