Leyla was not in the best of moods from the moment she woke up... She didn't want to get dressed, she didn't want me to do her hair... even bribes of snacks and Dora the Explorer first thing in the morning didn't lift her spirits. I also dressed her up in an exceptionally perky outfit that did not match the dark cloud hanging over her head. The annoyed look on her face says it all: "Are you kidding me, mom???" Ha ha ha!
Seeing that she was not enthusiastic about today, I decided to put some {extra} love into my little grumpster's breakfast. I suppose she's still too young to appreciate it but it made me smile anyway as I packed her little container with fresh berries, sliced bananas... and yes, heart-shaped english muffins cut out by a cookie-cutter.
Here's hoping that my little one has a happy, happy day... Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
